Research Shows Fluoride Keeps Bacteria From Sticking to Enamel

Long debated, fluoride has been a staple in the topic of discussion concerning dental health. About 50 years of research has gone into finding the truth and it seems we’ve just gotten a step closer to that end. Studies conducted by the American Chemical Society have shown evidence that fluoride impacts the adhesion of acid causing bacteria on enamel, making it easier for mouth rinses, and saliva to aid in preventing tooth decay.
