Dr. John G. Orfanos, DDS, MD

Dr. Orfanos is a dual degree, Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended
Texas A&M University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural
Development. He began his dental school education at the University of Texas Dental
Branch at Houston in 2002. At Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, Dr.
Orfanos Completed a Broad scope training program and acquired his Medical Doctorate
as well as a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He then joined the already respected OMSH practice and was able to contribute to the
full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. His specific interests and expertise are in deal
extractions, dental implants, and implant supported dentures. (All on 4)
Dr. Orfanos was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys cooking,
grilling, spending time with his daughters and wife, and helping coach softball. He really
enjoys spending time with friends and neighbors and raising his girls in such a loving
community in the area. Dr. Orfanos loves any and every sport. He is a “Fightin’ Aggie”
follower and a devoted Astros fan.
As a continuing theme in the OMSH tradition, Dr. Orfanos is held in high regard by his
patients, his medical and dental peers, his OMSH team, and his community. He
continues to do his best in learning new techniques and technology in his field and
acquires consistent continuing education. He also enjoys leading the practice study
clubs alongside his partners, Dr. Metz and Dr. Seidel, while providing excellent care for
his patients.
